Beach Spending (June 24th-27th)

Total spend on the trip...$81.35.

$69.25 of that was on eating/drinking. One thing I realized was how quickly the little things add up. A cup of coffee here and a scope of ice cream there, toss in a pound of fudge, because c'mon, who can go to the beach and NOT get some! Thursday was our most expensive day because we went out to eat (any of you familiar with OCMD know Seacrets), dropping $20 and then hubby stayed with my bro and cousin for a few drinks dropping another $20. The place was seriously awesome though, and you walked through the 'building' out to the bay, but it looked like a tropical island. There were palm trees everywhere, and they even had some seating out in the bay! Sadly all my pictures have my family in them, so I can't post them on here. Oh, and did I mention that there was no floor, just sand? Kinda hard to walk with little heels.

We spent $6 on tolls and I spend another $6+ on a gift for hubby's sister.

It's definately more than we normally spend in 4 days, but it's vacation and well worth it. Plus, my parents paid for the place, so that $80 wouldn't have even touch 1 night at a hotel!

Is it just me, or has the mood in blog world changed? I feel like the PFers are less motivated and just not as hard core as we once were? I am totally at the top of the guily list, but I'm just wondering if it has to do with it being summer, or what it is. Any thought?

I'm trying to blame it on the summer I have been spending far too much on things that aren't completely necessary.
You did great on only spending that much at the beach!!!
Way to go :)

Hi SimpleLivin'! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me a nice comment! :) And you're right...I did laugh at the "Tom Cruise is gay" bit! :) I can't believe I haven't swung by your blog before this, either.

I know what you mean about the mood in PF world these days - it's like frustration has set in and dug in its heels. I really hope things get back on track. Even thought I don't do such a great job as you by posting every day, I still think it's really important to keep track. I hope it's just the summer!

I think its summer. I'm guilty too. :(

It's definitely summer-itis for me too. This past winter was just so long and bleak; all I *want* to do is get out in the warmth and enjoy myself, darn the cost.

I think summer definantly seems to slow everyone and everything down a few notches. Wow, I'm so impressed with you beach spendings. You're amazing.

Thanks everyone!!! It definitely helps to bring your own snacks!

Yes, let's blame the summer! I wasn't on here last summer, so I don't know if it's normal or not.
