Total spent...$42.63 on groceries.
That's not too bad considering that we had NOTHING from being away all week. We also didn't have a list or know any of the sales since the fliers seemed to be missing from our mailbox this past week. I'm really not sure how this week looks in terms of meals, but hubby's home so he can take care of it. Lol. Spaghetti and meatballs, corn on the cob, and taco salad should be enough to get us through the week, but we'll see.
It's hard coming back to the normal routine of life after vacation. Even though we really were only gone Thursday and Friday, it's so easy to get into the laid-back, no-cares ways of the beach. We had no plans and no schedule. I got up somewhere between 7 and 8, went for a walk on the beach with mi madre, came back and ate breakfast on the balcony looking out on the ocean. Headed down to the beach between 9 and 10. Did a little reading, played some paddle ball or volleyball. Played in the ocean, read some more, maybe a nap or two. Built some sand castle cities and sculptures and watch the lifeguards make tons of rescues. The evenings were even more chill with dinner followed by games or more reading on the balcony, some watched TV, some took the bus to the boardwalk and bars.
Now I'm home and have to wake up early and go to work. I can't walk 100 yards to go home and grab something I forgot. I'm stuck sitting at a desk all day not getting exercise. Oh well.
Also, we have a HUGE, I mean, GIGNORMOUS pile waiting to go to Goodwill tomorrow with hubby. I'll post all my recent purges soon. As for now I need to get caught up at work!
