Random February tidbits

So I had a dream the other night that I could see the grass and boulders on the hill beside our house. Sadly, when I woke up and looked out there was still at least a foot of snow covering everything. Boo.

Although the rain that they are calling for all this week, may help wash some of it away *crosses fingers*. Just have to pray for no flooding.

Spring is right around the corner, right? Good.

I have a super crazy, busy week ahead of me, but those are the best kinds, right? Most of it involves my ministry with the middle schoolers and my best friends, so I can't complain.

With March right around the corner I have to figure out what I want to attempt to grow on our balcony this year. I know I have to rehab my mint plant, I'd love to try tomatoes again, but I'm not sure what else might work...any thoughts?

I'm suffering from serious ADD today, so I'm sorry this is all over the place.

Hubby and I have plans to go to the gym tonight to run. I have 2 months to train and I've been running twice. Hmm...time to kick it into gear.

I've been doing well with the Wii Fit though, although it's kinda sad to see that I've clocked almost 30 hours on it in the past two months. That's over an entire day!!!

We went over our weekly food budget yesterday day by $3.39 :-( But we've been doing really well besides that, so I think it's okay to let it slide this time.

It's fun to watch accounts slowly grow, but it seems soo slow. Sometimes I feel like we're never going to get a house.

We visited my parents this weekend, and drove out with my brother (whose an accountant) and spent most of the drive talking money. We discussed a lot about retirement, and I'm glad that he agrees with me saving up to open one with Vanguard.

Alright, back to work. :-)

as hard as it is watching the house fund grow what feels like very slowly? its even harder watching all of the money leave the account.

while it trickles in, going out is like a dam bursting.

i hate how long it takes to save, yet we can pile up debt with a signature. (yes those evil student loans.) we are in the same boat right now, just saving saving saving. o it is so slow.

I love my Wii Fit as well. It has been absolutely wonderful for getting me to work out. Think of those 30 hours with pride! :)

For growing things - I was amazed at how and fun and easy it is to grow radishes and carrots, and you can easily do them in containers - I did!
