Old Man Winter

Have I mentioned before that I'm a summer girl? I love the sun, the heat, being outside, cute tanks and dresses...ahh.

Winter on the other hand is cold, gray, and boring. Don't get me wrong, I love experiencing the four seasons. I wouldn't be able to enjoy my summers as much if it was always warm, right? And waking up last Tuesday with a few inches of snow on the ground (not the roads), and seeing the trees covered was absolutely gorgeous! What is not fun is having it snow all of Friday night, and all of Saturday, then trying to dig your car out of over 2 feet of snow! Oh, and not having the road crew know how to plow and narrow all the roads by 1-2 feet, or in some cases, just not plowing a lane at all. (It's not their fault, our state is already waayyy over budget in snow removal.)

Even though the snow totally messed up our plans of being away for the weekend, I enjoyed being snuggled up inside. I got a ton of reading done, we started to tackle the office (we got rid of over 3 boxes of stuff!!!), played some Wii, and played games. And watched the news all day. Which resulted in some fun facts. Like, this is only the third time in history that we have gotten 2 snow storms which dumped more than 10 inches. And our snowfall totals are the second largest ever.

Does that mean winter can be over? Please? We've gotten more than normal already...

Nope. We getting hit again today. Anywhere from 8-16 inches!

Fun, fun, fun.

I have no idea where it's going to go, because they is already more than we can deal with.

I'll let ya know how it turns out. :-)

What a bummer. I guess I'm spoiled living in the southwest since all we get is rain, but I feel the opposite. People don't know how to drive in the rain here and it becomes a mess. But at least you were productive!
