Bracelet Tutorial

I dragged my machine out the other day and wanted to check and make sure that I had it threaded correctly before I started on my real project, so I grabbed a scrap piece of fabric to practice on, and got an idea! (Okay, it's quasi copied from something I saw in the Real Simple magazine with a braided rope bracelet that they wanted like $60 for!)

I've never written a tutorial before, so I skip anything, please let me know!

Tutorial for a fast, easy bracelet.

1. You need 3 strips of fabric, about 8-9 inches long, or long enough to fit around your wrist. They can be as fat or skinny as you'd like. (The wider they are the wider your bracelet will be.) I used old t-shirts for mine, so they are a little stretchy. You can use anything, from the sleeves cut off a shirt, to an old shirt that has a hold, or stain so you can't donate it. Be creative!

2. Pin the strips of fabric on top of each other.

3. Braid them together. You can make it as tight or loose as you desire.

4. Then bring both ends together and sew together. This can easily be done by hand too since it's only like an inch or so of fabric.

5. I did it twice on mine just to make sure.

6. Flip it inside out to hide the seam and voila!

You have a new bracelet!

Easily enough for you?
