I'M ONE!!!!!! (Oct. 27th Spending)

Total spent...$0! Woohoo!!!

Hubby thought he was feeling better and tried to go to work, but it didn't last and they sent him home.

I'm praying that I'm not getting sick, I woke up this morning with a super scratchy throat and unable to talk. I'm hoping it's from running around and yelling with/at middle schoolers all night and not a cold. *crosses fingers*

So I knew that I started blogging at the end of October last year, so I happened to look back this morning and saw that TODAY is my one year anniversary!!! Woohoo!!! I'm one! :-)

Looking back on my first post I've realized how far we have come. A year ago hubby had $17,168 in school loans and I had $7,569. Totaling $24, 737 in debt. Almost 25 thousand dollars! In a measly 365 days!

We paid off hubby's loans at the beginning of the summer and mine are now down to $2,400.

Which means we paid down $22,337 in one year!!! Whoa!

A year ago our net worth was in the negative, now it's over $16,000!

One of my original goals was to save for a car. After studying a few different financial ways (Crown Financial, Dave Ramsey, etc.) we decided to focus on paying down debt before saving. We have almost $2,000 saved, so as soon as my student loans are gone that our next big goal, especially since hubby's car is pushing 200,000 miles. Nissans last forever!

So much has happened in one year and I can't wait to see what happens in the next year.

In light of it being my anniversary I'm going to open it up for you to ask me a question or two and I'll put together a post in the next day or two to answer as many as I can. So ask away!

Congrats! Are you planning on a new or used car? Are you as tempted as I am by the deceptively-not-actually-so-frugal smart car?
