Sept. 10th Spending

Total spent...$13 on dinner. Hubby had back-to-school night, and with soccer practice after school, as soon as he got home he'd have to turn around and drive back. One of his fellow teachers also lives far away, so they decided to go out to dinner together. Gotta love Olive Garden with all you can eat pasta, salad and bread sticks!

Total earned...$0.25. I found a quarter! I guess ask and you shall receive...maybe I'll find bills next! Sadly, Money Funk is no long hosting the Earn More Challenge. Luckily, The Good Life decided to pick it up!

It has been wonderful now that hubby's back at school and bring home regular paychecks. It makes the budgeting for the month a little easier. Despite receiving a minor raise from last year, he's checks are smaller since they are now spread out over the entire year, not just the school year. The nice part of that is that we will have regular money over the summer!

With that being said, it's time to get back into full gear of paying of my student debt...the last of our debt! If we can stay on track we will be able to be completely debt free by the end of the year!!! I don't want to get too excited, because it hasn't happened yet, but it's sooo close!!! Just under $5,000 to go!

I'll be away all weekend at a retreat at the beach. Sounds nice, huh? Too bad it's pouring buckets and thundering today, and it's suppose to do the same tomorrow. Oh well, at least it's some place that isn't here!

Hope y'all have a great weekend!!! Any big plans???

Looks like your doing good on NSD's!

My boyfriend is also a teacher and gets his paychecks spread over the year. His first year he got paid for the 9 months but said he struggled. It's great that teachers have that option, it probably feels even better getting paid during the summer when your not even working!

Have a good weekend, I have a birthday party to go to but no real big plans.

I love the $0.25! I never understood why people have a stigma for picking up money on the street... it's still money!
