Tasty Tuesday - Original Girl Scout cookies

So I tried these for the first time last night, and while they didn't quite turn out like the hard shortbread cookies I'm used to from the Girl Scouts, they are delicious!

Original Girl Scout cookies - 2 dozen
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
Topping: approx. 1/4 cup granular or raw sugar

1. Cream the butter and sugar. Then slowly add in the remaining ingredients.
2. Spoon batter onto cookie sheets, and sprinkle with sugar. Or, you can dip the bottom of a glass in the sugar and use to flatten cookies.
3. Bake on 350* for 8 minutes or until golden brown.
