Saturday I had to run out to purchase a gift and card for the wedding. I actually stocked up on cards for the other wedding we have, the baby shower, mother's day and my grandmother's birthday, dropping $6. Then I bought a really sweet recipe binder for $20 for wedding gift. When I got home I started filling out the recipe cards with some of my favorite recipes, I was limited though, as I remember than the bride is a vegetarian. She's not much of a cook, so I gave them easy recipes, and simple fix-and-forget meals. Hubby also spent a few dollars in the wee morning hours while he was out at the bar with the groomsmen.
The wedding was beautiful! If I can crop some pictures of the brides dress I'll post them, because I've never seen anything like it! It was very antique-like and very elegant. The only bad part was that since we've had rain for 9 straight days, so the ground was still soft, and we all know how heels and soft ground go...
Sunday was a no spend day! We drove up to my grandmother's for mother's day. We had a great time, and had my grandmother laughing so much she said her cheeks hurt. :-)
Overall it was a fantastic weekend with good times and full of laughter.
