Tasty Tuesday- Impossibly Easy "Sausage" Pie

Okay, the name of the recipe is sausage pie, but I'm not a sausage fan...I blame it on being a vegetarian for 9 years, so we use turkey burger. You can take your pick of what meat you would like.

Impossibly Easy Meat Pie - 6 servings
  • 1/2 lb meat of your choice
  • 2 cups frozen veggies, thawed and drained (or you can use fresh ones cut up)
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
1. Heat oven to 400*, Spray 9-in glass pie plate, Brown the meat.
2. Spread the meat in the bottom of the pie plate, top with the vegetables.
3. Mix the remaining ingredients in a medium bowl, then pour into pie plate.
4. Bake 30-35 minutes until golden brown and knife comes out clean.

We decided that the next time we make this we would like to try adding shredded cheese into the Bisquick mix. It will increase the calories and fat, but I think it would be super yummy too.
