I'll combine my thankfulness post with the election day post.
2. The second thing I'm thankful for is our country and freedom. Sure we may still be in the middle of a war, and our economy is at an all time low, but if you think about it, we still live in the great USA. We have so many more privileged and rights than most people out there. We get to have a say in who we want our leaders to be for our country. We are blessed with the freedom of speech and religion. We are wealthy. By our standards here you may not consider yourself well off, but think about how many people in the 3rd world countries would LOVE to live in your small studio apartment, or be able to ride by themselves in a car, not crammed with 20 others into a small truck. Even here we have homeless, we have people going to soup kitchens and food banks just trying to get by. We are blessed by what our forefathers fought for!
Don't waste your privilege of voting...head out your poll and make a difference! Plus, Starbucks is giving out free coffee to those who vote!
Who can so no to free? I sure can't...even if I'm not a coffee drinker :-)
