Total Spent...$0! Yay!
After work we spent an hour or so on the phone between our realtor, landlord and HVAC guy. Our hot water heat is busted. Not fun. It resides in hubby's closet and soaked the carpet and the bottoms of all his shoes. Luckily they said they had a new one in their warehouse and would be able to be out in the morning to fix it. We now have a shiny new heater and $775 less in the bank. We worked it out with the landlord that we would pay for it and send him a copy of the invoice and the remaining $125 for our June rent. So we basically just paid rent 3 weeks early, good thing we have money in an emergency fund!
Talking with the realtor we learned that the $8,000 tax credit can now be used as part of the downpayment! You can read about it here. I really wish houses were cheaper around here because it's such a perfect time to buy! Oh well.
After we got that whole mess figured out I went for a run. I did 2.5 miles in 22 minutes and 30 seconds! :-) I only had to walk for 2 minutes in the middle...my goal is to be able to run straight through. I need to find a longer route, I found one that's 4 miles, but I'm not any where close to that point, especially since part is on a well traveled road and not just through the neighborhood.
I also decided that June is going to be another de-clutter/purging month. So anyone who wants to join me again get ready!

Count me in on the purging! I just posted some items on ebay and I know there's more items lurking around here!
We're probably moving in a month, so we'll be purging for sure! I love it!
since the hubs is a real estate agent, he passes most of the best deals on to his clients. but we may take advantage of the tax credit yet!
Yay! I'm excited to have y'all on board with this!
@Brooke - it must be nice to have first hand info on the deals.
